The Wright Solar is a single-decker body of a bus. It has a low-floor. It was made from 2000 to 2011 by Wrightbus.
The Wright Solar body was built on the Scania L94UB chassis[1][2] and the Scania K UB chassis.[3][4]
Operators
[change | change source]In 2006, Translink ordered 198 Wright Solars,[5]
From 2000 to 2011, Go North East ordered 80 Wright Solars.
From 2003 to 2005, Trentbarton ordered 92 Wright Solars.[6]
Solar Rural

In 2008, Wrightbus made a new bus body called the Solar Rural. It was made for Ulsterbus who wanted a bus to use for rural bus services across Northern Ireland.[7][8]
The Solar Rural had three seats on one side of the bus and had narrower front passenger doors.
The Wright Solar Rural body was built for the Scania K-series chassis.
