"You Gotta Be" is a song recorded by British singer-songwriter Des'ree from her second studio album, I Ain't Movin' (1994). It was released in August 1994 through Sony Soho Square Records. Des'ree co-wrote and co-produced the song with Ashley Ingraham.[1] It is a downtempo soul song that ends the chorus with, "Love will save the day."

The song reached the top ten in Australia and the UK, after its re-release in 1999.[2] It also reached the top five in Spain and on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.[3]
