The Cadillac Catera is a mid-size luxury Sedan made by Cadillac from 1996 to 2001.
History and Features
[change | change source]The Cadillac Catera was previewed by the Cadillac LSE concept at the Detroit Auto Show in 1994 then at the Detroit Montreal Vancouver and Toronto auto shows a early-production model was shown in 1996.[1] Cadillac later began selling the Catera in the United States in 1996 as a 1997 model the Catera was a rebadged Opel Omega being sold as Cadillac's entry-level model that targeted young buyers.
It has a 3.0 liter V6 engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission it was improved in 2000.[2]
Markets
[change | change source]The Cadillac Catera was sold mainly in The American market but also in Canada and Middle East.
Discontinuation
[change | change source]The Cadillac Catera was discontinued in 2001 due to weak sales and marketing campaign that didint reach young buyers it was later replaced by the Cadillac CTS.
