A near-open vowel (or a near-low vowel) is a vowel sound used in some spoken languages. The meaning of a near-open vowel is that the tongue is positioned the same as an open vowel, but slightly more narrow.

- near-open central vowel (mostly used as unrounded) [ɐ]
Other near-open vowels can have marks on letters of relative articulation applied to neighboring vowels, such as ⟨ɒ̽⟩ and ⟨ɑ̽⟩ for near-open, near-back, rounded and unrounded vowels.
