Naoko Wowsugi is a Korean-Japanese Artist based in Washington D.C [1] .Wowsugi’s art uses themes of connection through meditation and photos. [2][3] She came to the U.S in 2001 (dirt.com), soon after she nearly got hit by a Cadillac. [4]Then,she saw a man, who took her to a ritual.[4] This was the start of her art through meditation. Meditation is the practice of clearing your mind.
Career
[change | change source]Naoko Wowsugi went to the Osaka University of Arts and the Kansas City Art Institute getting a Bachelor of fine art degree. She also went to Virginia Commonwealth university. Getting a Master of Fine Arts degree. (Dirt.com)( American university of washington D.C) Some of her most famous pieces are Tea(r)ism and The Umami Taste Development center.
