Barnstar

[change source]
The Surreal Barnstar
For Belinda, who wrote me a special poem for Christmas. I have never had my own poem before, and shall treasure it always. It made me smile, and I am sure that Belinda's contributions to this Wikipedia often make others smile as well. Thankyou Peterdownunder (talk) 11:23, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much, Peterdownunder! The poem was very small, and very feeble, but your return was so surprising and wonderful I'm quite overwhelmed! I in my turn shall treasure this barnstar forever as my sweet Christmas present from you. :) I hope your year has been as nice as you have made mine for me this 2010! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 11:28, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, thanks, Dewy. I don't really do any "wonderful work" or "great help" here, since [busy + lazy = rather inactive] and that's me , but the smile certainly did make my day. You keep up the great editing too. :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 00:48, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Belinda! The smile made my day, too - though it's yours. :P But personally, I don't think you're lazy at all.  :) Well, anyway, have a nice day! Warmly, Dewflower 07:51, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Are multiple barnstars allowed to be given at the same time? Meh...

[change source]

Yep, I'm giving you 3 barnstars at the same time.

...You really think I'm kind? Well, let me tell you: you're seeing things. I'm evil. Get glasses, and you will want to take these sweet little stars back. Haha, but anyway, thank you very much, dear Mr. Berty! I'm really obliged to you for the multiple barnstars, and feel I don't deserve it. You keep up the great work too! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 09:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Service Award

[change source]
This editor is a Yeoman Editor and has the right to show this Wikipedia Pocket Edition.

Hi Belinda, a years service and thousands of edits. Its time for a book! (Or you can swap it for a medal or a ribbon or have the lot). Congratulations, Peterdownunder (talk) 05:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thank you so much, Peterdownunder! :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 06:07, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome message

[change source]

Hi Belinda, can you tone down your welcome message? To call someone "sweetheart" in Australia would assume that you are in a very close relationship. It something that lovers say to each other, or parents might say it to their children. If I said it for example to someone at work, it would be seen as sexual harrassment. You would never say it to a stranger. Just say hello, it will be enough. Peterdownunder (talk) 11:46, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear me, I didn't know that! Wow, it doesn't mean that in Korea at all. o_O I certainly wouldn't want to harass anyone. Thank you for the kind advice, Peterdownunder—it's  Fixed now, in any case. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:51, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You've been such a good editor. I've got a few excess treats and I know they're your favorite. *leaves treats on table* Loudclaw (talk) 22:51, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aww, thanks! And mmm, they are very delicious. I don't know how you found out which treat is my favorite, but you certainly succeeded in doing so! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:03, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if you have seen it or not, but I left a review of the article. Albacore (talk · changes) 14:14, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, Albacore—I've been spending all my days at a study-library, so I couldn't check the wiki. But I will try to fix all your comments! Thank you for reviewing it. :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:03, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a suggestion

[change source]

Hi Belinda! It's DX here. I have something to propose. I see that you have been editing for more than a year and amassed more than 4000 edits. I believe that you have the capability and I trust you enough to take up a new role here - as an admin. :) Do let me know if you are keen on this proposed nomination.-- Tdxiang 02:25, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, dear DX! <3 Thank you for the sweet and most generous proposal. I would be simply honored to have an editor like you nominate me, but I don't think I'm completely ready yet. Besides that, there might still be some people who think I'm Clementina, sadly, so why don't you think about that after you meet me and my sister later around March? :) You'll be able to see for yourself if we really are sockpuppets. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 08:38, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there Belinda! Just wanted to congratulate you on yet another good article, as I've just promoted Knut (polar bear) to the status following the consensus that was reached on the proposals page. It's a nice little article and was a very enjoyable read! I look forward to your future GA and VGA nominations! :) Goblin 12:46, 28 January 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Barras![reply]

Thanks, Bluegoblin! :) I don't think I'm ready for writing VGAs yet, but I'll work on it and hopefully get to that in the future. I'm glad this article was simple enough. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 13:01, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem at all! I think you could write a VGA if you wanted to as it's not all that much more work than a GA, and if you needed any help I would be happy to assist. Keep it up! (And, also, I second the thread above when you're ready!) Goblin 14:28, 28 January 2011 (UTC) I ♥ PeterSymonds![reply]
Thank you - your compliments are much appreciated. I'm afraid I'll be rather busy until May, because I'm preparing for an exam. Still, though, I'm going to see how long I can stand on wiki without putting up a {{wikibreak}} tag, editing at least once a day. Anyway, your warm consideration and trust encourages me; I will try to work harder to actually deserve them! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 06:41, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problems

[change source]

Apparently I'm a "confirmed sockpuppeteer" when I haven't sockpuppeted at all! I just found out a couple days ago. A Check User looked at my brother's and my IP Address (my brother and I are family) and thought that I sockpuppeted to skip out on my block. The jerk. *sprays water on self* Loudclaw (talk) 03:08, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ouch. :P I know how that feels. But please don't call checkusers "jerk"s, we try to remain polite and civil to each other here. :) I'll try to get you out of this fix when I find time (I can't today, sorry, :( I'm going to sleep in a few minutes), but maybe it would be nice if you could send me some kind of proof of your "brother". ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:50, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I can do that. His account is Erik.leif, he's a couple years younger than me(I'm trying to conceal our ages) and we're still in elementary. Not telling you the grade, same reason as age. Loudclaw (talk) 21:11, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Um. Okay. If you two are both in elementary, I'm actually hesitant you should be editing wikipedia at all. :( We all try our best to keep wiki safe, but it can still be rather dangerous for young people. I would advise you and your brother to come back in a few years, perhaps, for it will be much easier for both of you then. I'm sorry for saying this; I just wish you the best and to keep you safe. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:30, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm middle school next year. Loudclaw (talk) 02:44, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Huh. Well I'm not offended with you calling me "dear" I really don't care, as long as it's in good faith and meant kindly. Loudclaw (talk) 06:02, 8 March 2011 (UTC) I'm American.[reply]

Message

I edited the conversation. I think I'm a different kind of kid, who does not vandalize. Loudclaw (talk) 01:49, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

O...kay. I think this conversation is getting more and more unrelated to the issue. Firstly, what I said above has nothing to do with child vandalism of any sort. I was worrying about your privacy and safety. :( And, unfortunately, there are many other ways to get blocked easily here even if you do not (or do not mean to) vandalize at young age. Anyway, if we go back to the first question I asked you, I wasn't exactly asking for that kind of evidence. Age has nothing to do with truth. But what is the main issue here, Loudclaw? You do not seem to be blocked. You have edited my talk page, and that shows that you are quite free in editing. ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 05:25, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

*opens mouth to speak* *closes it in defeat* I meant the Draubb one. Loudclaw (talk) 05:45, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Belated Birthday! :D /me transforms himself into a huaso and yells ¡Uyuyyyyyyyyy! Diego Grez let's talk 15:54, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Omai, it's the adorable cow Mister Wiki! Let's watch him chew grass! (...Oh yeah, the name Mister Wiki "isn't funny anymore".) :P Thanks, Diego. I don't think my birthday is that important, but it's still sweet of you to remember. Oh, and btw, please get more active on this wiki, dear—do fill in the sad number of edits I cannot do these days for me. :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 06:19, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I'm terribly sorry for removing the part of the edit you did to Coburg Soup, but I did so because you had written a recipe of how to make it on the page. If you would like to write about recipes and such, you could help at Wikibooks, but I'm afraid this place is not the right place to put these things. Don't worry about it, though! I made this mistake several times myself when I first came here. :P Anyway, next time, please do not add recipes of dishes or any kind of foods on the pages here, as they don't belong here. But you're always welcome to create such helpful pages! Your recent contribs here were really sweet. Do continue them! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 11:57, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the sweet notice. However, your message is for User:Barliner not me. I have not edited Coburg Soup. Regards SilkTork (talk) 12:02, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh dear. :) I'm really beginning to get clumsy again! Sorry, SilkTork, and thanks for letting me know. I'd better look more carefully next time! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:03, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You might consider not using "dear" when contacting people. Though sweet, it is slightly inappropriate. Try using someone's name instead. So, you might start by saying "Hello SilkTork!" That works much better. Responding by saying, "O dear" is OK, as that indicates you are aware of a mistake. "O dear" is not the same as "dear". SilkTork (talk) 12:06, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sorry. :P I still have a long path before me... ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 12:09, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Patroller

[change source]

Hey Belinda. I've just granted you our new patroller flag. This automatically marks all your new pages as patrolled, and allows you to patrol new pages in Special:NewPages, if that interests you. Hope all is well! --Gordonrox24 | Talk 22:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Gordon! Because I have a big exam little ahead of me, I'm finding it rather hard to keep up with RL and wiki at once right now. But I'm obliged to you - it does seem useful! :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 07:09, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Let me jump in, Belinda, there was a note on the talk page. I replied with the definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary. I will add these to the main article. Much of the IP's change seemed to be a confusion between the meanings of "plebiscite" and "petition" and you were right to rollback. --Bärliner 15:55, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, hi, Barliner! :S That was a little confusing, as I don't know anything about plebiscites at all, and I wasn't sure if the IP was right or wrong. But thank you for fixing the problem. :) ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 04:19, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
