Hi, ToQ100gou2, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'change summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy changing! Now you can complain and someone can deal with it. In order for your issue to be dealt with properly, let it all out, which means explain everything in detail. You complain, I give them a piece of their mind. So, here you go!

I am creating the pages for the subsequent Power Rangers seasons at the moment and I don't know how to cite sources (put a [1] next to a sentence and have that link on the external links part). Can you please help me? 118.209.211.149 (talk) 00:11, 7 January 2015 (UTC) (conversation moved here)[reply]

If you're asking about citing sources, you're the kind of editor we like to call a "keeper". It's an excellent question and it shows you want to create good pages here. You might consider registering and choosing a username. Until you do, you can practice copying text and citing sources in the Wikipedia:Sandbox. If you do register, the sandbox page has a link to create your own sandbox. It's where you create pages and experiment with different templates, links, etc.
Citing sources can be a little daunting if you haven't done it much before. But it actually is fairly easy. The more you cite your sources, the easier it becomes. In most cases there are more than one way to cite a source. But we'll keep it simple for now. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources. It explains some of the basics. First, every page that you're going to add sources to has to have a References section. The Wikipedia:Guide to layout which tells you what sections come before references and which come after. The references section is:
== References ==
{{reflist}}
The Citing sources guideline, under Common Templates shows you four typical citation templates. Basically you fill in the blanks. Some blanks cannot be skipped. For example, in the Cite Web template shown, you need the URL and title, the date you accessed the page and should have the publisher as a minimum citation. The name of the publisher is usually at the bottom of the page claiming copyright. You need to use reliable sources, but for now concentrate on citing sources with templates. As an example: For the article you started Power Rangers Dino Thunder see the changes I just made in Change view. Look at the cited page to see what pieces of information were copied to the template. There is more to citing sources, but work on this for now and see what questions you have. You can reply here. Rus793 (talk) 01:37, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you guys don't mind, but I created a category for the Power Rangers, and put all the existing articles into it. Please use that category for the future articles, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 02:18, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ToQ100gou2: Have you had a chance to go over the above? Any questions so far? It's best to try this out in your sandbox first but, if you do add source citations to an existing article and have a problem, don't worry, anything can be fixed. By the way the {{cite book}} template has had a glitch in it for some time. I don't know if it's fixed yet, I usually cite books manually. If you do get a problem using that template, it too can be fixed, let me know. Thanks Rus793 (talk) 00:47, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, man. I'll practice in my sandbox for now. ToQ100gou2 (talk) 02:33, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some sources

[change source]

I'm not sure how much these will help you in creating or editing Power Rangers articles, but there are some free accounts that may still be available. These were posted to Simple Talk in November and December and offered free accounts to several subscription databases. You sign up (pretty self-explanatory) for the accounts you'd like to use, then wait until you're approved. It can take several weeks in some cases, but it's worth it. Most ask only that you mention them as a source in your source citations. They also have citation generators where they will create the source citation for you. I saved both notices in one of my sandboxes User:Rus793/Harenam buxum ternario. Anyway, if you're interested. Rus793 (talk) 19:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nah, it's alright Rus. But thanks a lot, though! ToQ100gou2 (talk) 02:57, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
